My name is Ranjay. I am a freelance photographer. Over the years my interest and passion has revolved around Street Photography, Still Life, Portraits and Landscapes. And over the past couple of years, my interest has evolved around Impressions. I create Impressions of nature into an art form.

I am a traditional photographer, still carrying my 35mm Nikons and a hefty tripod around me to create magnificent chromes. I enjoy the visual all embracing effect of a large projected slide! Using film has its own advantages. The amount of saturation that I can achieve and the complete control over the depth is amazing. Although the digital revolution is too hard to ignore, I would still continue to create slides for the next few years. And eventually I would like to move onto Nikon high end digital cameras for Street Photography, Still Life and Portraits while continue with film for Landscapes and Art Impressions.

Over the years I have had multiple requests from enthusiasts about creating Impressions. I have documented most of the techniques in the Techniques page on my website Photoduniya.com. As I continue to create art, I am also finding newer ways of making them. I shall continue to update my Techniques page about the time I can derive a logical semblance to my new techniques.

Should you want to write back, please email me at ranjay.mitra@photoduniya.com. Unless I am traveling and do not have access to my emails, I would respond within a few days.

So, keep the art growing and hope you find as much life in Impressions as you do in life.

Cheers!
Ranjay
